The Collection Container was originally developed in 1998 for The Salvation Army (Aust).
They were searching for a container that was safe to use by the road side and easier for the general public to donate.

The Collection Container is a proprietary product and remains locally manufactured by
PMG Engineering Services Pty Ltd, a small family owned and operated plastic injection moulding company located in Braeside, Victoria.
